You take care of everyone else. This is a place to talk about what it's costing you.
Request a ConsultationWho this is for
Caregiving is work, whether you're paid for it or not. Counseling here is for the people doing it:
- CNAs, home health aides, and other professional caregivers
- Adult children caring for a parent
- Spouses caring for a husband or wife
- Anyone who has become the person everything depends on
What caregiver burnout looks like
- Exhaustion that sleep doesn't fix
- Resentment you feel guilty for having
- Grieving someone who is still here
- Pulling away from friends, church, or things you used to enjoy
- A marriage or family stretched thin by the demands of care
- Anxiety, irritability, or a low mood that won't lift
None of this means you're failing. It means you've been carrying a lot for a long time.
How counseling helps
Counseling gives you one hour that belongs to you. It's a place to say the things you can't say at home or at work, sort out what's yours to carry and what isn't, and find ways to keep going without losing yourself. Grief, guilt, family conflict, and the strain on a marriage are all part of the work.
